Itinerary horseback ride Mount Etna 1,5 hour

For most of the year, we depart from the Ranch in Linguaglossa. The route is determined based on the rider’s experience and rapport with the horse. We usually head towards the mountains of the Valle dell’Alcantara. From here, you have a panoramic view of the village of Linguaglossa with the majestic Mount Etna volcano in the background.

In summer instead the horse riding tours leave from Mount Etna, at an altitude of 1450 meters. From here you will enter the Ragabo Pine Forest. You will ride on a mountain track and see the old lava flow of the Mount Etna eruption of 2002.

Details horse riding Mount Etna

Horse riding is available everyday on reservation, also in winter with snow! Together we determine the start time. This can be in the morning, but also in the afternoon or at sunset. You need to arrive 10/15 minutes before the start of the tour. The duration of the tour is more less 1,5 hour in total.

This excursion is suitable for everyone, even those who want to approach this adventure for the first time, especially children, but we recommend a minimum age of 6 years.

Price and availability horseback riding Mount Etna

Horseback riding of 1,5 hour costs € 35.00 per person. We ask a minimum of 2 persons. Should you be alone, we can sometimes associate you with others.

Payment
You can pay on the day of the tour, directly to your guide. We don’t ask any prepayment. Since we work on trust. We trust you you show up when you book and you can trust us we have a horse ready for you when you book!

Availability
We do have availability every day on request. Even in winter with snow horse riding in possible. In high summer, with the high temperatures, we only do tours in the morning or in the (late) afternoon, to avoid the heat of the day for the participants and our horses. Please indicate your preference when submitting your request!

Clothing and what to bring

Clothing
We suggest to wear comfortable jeans or leggings. If you want to ride in shorts in the summer, you can, but no hotpants. You must wear closed shoes, such as sports shoes. You are not allowed to ride horses with flip-flops. Always bring a jacket, since it might be colder in the forest and shadow.

Food and drinks
There is no food or drinks included. So bring a bottle of water if you want to drink something during or after the tour. You can buy something in one of the bars of Linguaglossa, before you’re heading to the ranch.
