What to Expect

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by Margriet and Maurizio, the passionate owners of this authentic Sicilian wine estate. Located at 670 meters above sea level, the vineyard offers a breathtaking view of Etna’s summit craters. Here, grapes grow on ancient lava terraces, surrounded by dry stone walls that preserve the mountain’s character.

The tour begins with a relaxed walk through the vineyard. You’ll learn about the volcanic soil, traditional cultivation methods, and an exciting project to reintroduce forgotten native grape varieties.

Then, you’ll descend into a hidden lava cave – a naturally formed tunnel from past eruptions. In this cool, mysterious space, you’ll enjoy your first sip of wine in a truly unforgettable setting.

Back above, under the shade of old trees, you’ll continue the tasting: 4 different wines, each expressing the power and elegance of Etna’s volcanic terroir.

For those who want to enrich the experience, you can add local specialties like cheeses, olive oil, pâtés, vegetables, and more. Or choose a well-filled picnic basket to enjoy among the vines at your own pace.

Children are welcome too – there are games, a ping-pong table, and even a fun Etna grape quiz.

Before you leave, you’ll have the opportunity to buy or ship the estate’s homemade wines and olive oil, so you can relive the taste of Etna at home.

1. Basic Wine Tasting | €35.00 per person

Taste 3 Etna DOC wines accompanied by freshly baked wood-fired bread, grissini, and the estate’s own extra virgin olive oil.

2. Wine Tasting + Local Bites | €48.00 per person (Tip!)

Taste 4 Etna DOC wines accompanied by grissini and olives, served with a delicious selection of local products: Etna cheeses, artisan cold cuts (affettati), olives and sun-dried tomatoes from the estate’s garden, bruschetta with seasonal toppings, homemade nuts, seasonal vegetables, wood-fired bread, crackers, and the house’s own extra virgin olive oil. A true, rustic antipasto board — full of authentic Etna flavors!

3. Wine Tasting + Deluxe | €60.00 per person (Tip!)

Everything included in option 2, plus a warm mixed grill featuring local specialties like involtini and salsiccia al ceppo from Linguaglossa — a true delicacy from the area. And to finish: a homemade dessert!
