Horse riding Mount Etna: 1,5 hours

The horseback ride Mount Etna lasts an hour and a half and you will discover exclusive naturalistic environments. In the summer period (End of July and beginning of August) the excursions start from an altitude of 1450 mt on Mount Etna on request. In the rest of the year, the horseback rides start from the Ranch in the village of Linguaglossa.

Itinerary horseback ride Mount Etna 1,5 hour

This excursion is suitable for everyone, even those who want to approach this adventure for the first time, especially children, but we recommend a minimum age of 6 years. 

Normally we start from our ranch in Linguaglossa. From here we will head towards the mountains of the Alcantara Valley, that border the town along old paths. Along the way you will stop at some panoramic points to take pictures of both the coast of Taormina and the volcano Etna. The tour will take more less 1,5 hour.

In summer instead the horse riding tours leave from Mount Etna, at an altitude of 1450 meters. From here you will enter the Ragabo Pine Forest. You will ride on a mountain track and see the old lava flow of the Mount Etna eruption of 2002.

Our Mount Etna horseback riding tours are led by experienced federal guides.

Starttime and availability

Horse riding is available everyday on reservation, also in winter with snow! Together we determine the start time. This can be in the morning, but also in the afternoon or at sunset.

You need to arrive 10/15 minutes before the start of the tour. The duration of the tour is more less 1,5 hour in total.

Price horseback riding Mount Etna

Horseback riding of 1,5 hour costs € 30,00 per person. We ask a minimum of 2 persons. Should you be alone, we can sometimes associate you with others.

You can pay on the day of the tour, directly to your guide. We don't ask any prepayment. Since we work on trust. We trust you you show up when you book and you can trust us we have a horse ready for you when you book!

Requirements Horseback ride Mount Etna

Clothing
We suggest to wear comfortable jeans or leggings. If you want to ride in shorts in the summer, you can, but not hotpants. You must wear closed shoes, such as sports shoes. You are not allowed to ride horses with flip-flops. Always bring a jacket, since it might be colder in the forest and shadow.

Food and drinks
There is no food or drinks included. So bring a bottle of water if you want to drink something during or after the tour. You can buy something in one of the bars of Linguaglossa, before you're heading to the ranch.

Guides & languages

The Horseback ride Mount Etna is always a guided tour by experienced federal guide. The guide speak Italian and a little bit of English and/or French. During the tour he/she can tell you a few things about the horses and the Mount Etna.
