Have you always dreamed of seeing dolphins in the wild? Here is your opportunity! We cannot guarantee that you will see them, but the chances are very high (85% of our tours!) that you will see the sunset boat ride, and the dolphins leaping among the blue waters of the sea!
The Taormina dolphin sunset boat ride
This excursion starts between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm (depending on the time of the sunset). You must always meet half an hour before the boat tour starts. You will then navigate along the coast of Giardini Naxos to Isola Bella. On the way, you will have the opportunity for a refreshing swim and snorkeling stop (bring your own equipment!) and you will visit different caves!
In the bay of Isola Bella, the boat will stop and you can enjoy some Sicilian snacks, like a small apericena. This means a "snack and a drink" on the boat! Afterwards, you will navigate to the open sea and go dolphin spotting. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee this, but there is a good chance you will see them swimming and jumping around the boat! On 85% of the boat trips we have taken in the last 2 years, we have managed to spot dolphins. And once even a whale! A true spectacle!
After sunset, we will navigate back to the harbor of Giardini Naxos. A beautiful and romantic boat trip and sunset with dolphin sighting! The whole boat tour takes about 3 hours.

Besides enjoying all these beautiful natural sights, the boat trip also offers about 20 minutes for a swim. This way you can cool off in the sea. Are you an avid snorkeler? Then in those 20 minutes you can also put on your goggles and snorkel (we need to bring your own!).
The boat trip is a trip with other people, there is a maximum of 12-15 people on the boat. A private tour is also possible (ask about the possibilities if you are interested).
Enjoy the sun shining on your skin, the splash of the sea against the boat, and the beauty of the Taormina and Giardini Naxos coastline and the secrets of the hidden caves!
Please note: This excursion is organized only when sea conditions are good. Only then you do have a chance to spot dolphins and can go offshore. Please indicate in your request the days when you can, so that I can consult with the captain for the best day!

The Taormina dolphin sunset boat ride costs €40.00 per person. We do not ask for any advance payment, you can pay the same day directly to the captain, since we work on trust-base.

What to bring
Wear swimsuits with beach wear. Wear flip-flops or water shoes. Bring a bath towel and something to drink (water). Don't forget sunscreen! Do you want to have a look at the corals and fish in the 15 minutes you can dive in the sea? You can bring your own goggles and snorkel for snorkeling. Also think about a jacket for the evening with the sunset!
