Alcantara Jumping & body rafting
Your adventure begins around 9:00 AM in Francavilla di Sicilia, where you’ll meet the local guide. From here, the organization will drive you to a private base near the river, where you’ll receive all the necessary equipment: a wetsuit, helmet, life jacket, and special river shoes – all included.
💡 Tip: Wear your swimsuit under your clothes so you can change quickly into your gear.
At the base, you can leave your personal belongings in a locked storage room before heading off into the wild. Together with your guide and group, you’ll walk through unspoiled Sicilian nature to reach the river’s edge — the starting point of your 2-kilometer aquatic adventure.
From here, the fun begins! You’ll:
- Jump into crystal-clear river pools (from different heights, depending on your comfort level),
- Slide down natural lava rock chutes,
- Swim and float through thrilling sections of the river, and
- Experience body rafting in its purest form!
If conditions allow, certain sections can even be repeated — especially if you’re loving the adrenaline of the natural slides or jump points. Heights vary from 2 to 4 meters, and you’re always free to choose the option that feels right for you. Not comfortable jumping? No problem — guides offer safe alternative paths or a rope descent (like in canyoning).
Safety always comes first: The certified guides will direct your route and ensure every step you take is a secure one.
Want to bring a friend or family member who prefers not to participate? They’re welcome to walk along the riverside path, enjoy the scenery, and even snap some great photos!
